B-1/B-2 Visitor's Visas

If you want to visit the U.S. for business or pleasure for up to one year, you may enter on a B visitor visa.

B-1 visas are for individuals traveling to the U.S. for business purposes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

B-2 visas are for visits to the U.S. to see friends and relatives, for general tourism and for medical treatment. 

B-1/2 visitor visas are usually granted for 6 months, but can be extended for an additional 6 months.

 

F-1 Student Visas

If you want to study at an American college, you may be eligible for a student visa.  You must be accepted at a university before you apply for an F-1 visa.  If you transfer schools, you must also transfer your visa.

In some instances, you may remain for an additional year after graduating for practical training in your field of study.

If you are married, your spouse may enter the U.S. on an F-2 visa.  Children may enter on an F-3 visa.

       

 

 

K-1 Fiancé(e) Visas

If you are the fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen, you are eligible for a K-1 visa to enter the U.S. to get married.

After you enter the US., the marriage must take place within 90 days.   After marriage, you apply for a permanent residency visa through adjustment of status.

If you have children under age 21, they are eligible for a K-2 visa.
