Effective Legal Services

Our representation of you begins with a thorough initial interview to learn the facts of your situation and identify your legal options.  In some instances, our assessment may include a review of current case law to better understand how courts are responding to your legal issue.  Once we have identified your possible legal options, we will review them with you, paying careful attention to their strengths and weaknesses and helping you decide which option is best for you.

When we review your case, we look not only for the obvious solutions.  We strive to be creative within the limits of the law.

We also promise to be candid with you.  Sometimes there is nothing that can be done to fix someone's immigration problem.  Sometimes the likelihood of success is low.  Other times, we can eventually help you but only after a relative has been outside the U.S. for 10 years.  We don't believe in giving you false hopes and unrealistic expectations.

We help individuals with family-based immigration issues, citizenship issues and removal proceedings.  Over the last five years, we have acquired considerable experience and a passion for certain types of immigration processes.

We have considerable experience with "hardship waivers," waivers/pardons for inadmissibility.  The U.S. has laws about who may not enter the country.  Sometimes those laws can be overcome through an additional application known as a "hardship waiver."  The waiver seeks to prove the immigrant's spouse or parent, who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, will suffer extreme hardship if the immigrant is not allowed to re-enter the country.  A majority of our "hardship waiver" clients are inadmissible to the U.S. for 10 years because they lived in the U.S. illegally for more than a year before leaving the country to attend their immigration interview. In a typical month, we file 2 or more hardship waivers.  We have never had a hardship waiver for "unlawful presence" denied.

We also have strong success at overcoming denied naturalization applications.

We stay current with immigration law through training seminars and regular reading.  Our attorneys belong to the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA) and participate in the local AILA chapter.

No lawyer can guarantee a successful outcome, but we can increase your chances of a successful outcome.
